              About Us

LifeWear medical ID bracelets are customizable fashion pieces with vital information engraved on the ID plate to alert paramedics of a medical condition, allergy, or necessary medications if you are ever rendered unconscious.

Our fashionable bracelets are 100% genuine leather and handcrafted. The sterling silver ID plates are made using the lost wax casting method and are enameled in an array of colors.

The leather cuff is available in black or brown and in 1.5 and 1.75 widths. The cuff holds a sterling silver medical alert ID plate that is engraved with your vital information. The rivets attaching the ID plates are made of nickel covered brass.

LifeWear is not responsible for any allergic reactions caused by leather, nickel, brass, or silver, all of which our bracelets contain.

4 lines (60 characters) of engraving are included with purchase of your LifeWear.

              Images of LifeWear

I was diagnosed with type I diabetes at the age of 23. Studying for exams at the end of my final year of college, living off fast food and cola, my 6'3'' frame wasted away to a mere 145 pounds. Concerned friends convinced me go to a clinic where I learned that my blood sugar was 700mg/dl. I quickly realized I was not as invincible as I had thought; yet I was determined to continue an active lifestyle.

My doctors advised me to wear a medical identification bracelet. Call it pride or foolishness, I ignored their advice. The prospect of wearing a medical leash that looked like a Cracker Jack prize turned me off to the concept. However, after several frightening low-blood sugar episodes, I decided to find a medical alert bracelet that I could wear for my safety without giving up my style.

After an exhaustive search for something edgy and cool, I had a piece designed that fit my fashion taste. After many complements and interest from other diabetics, I realized that I wasn't alone in this need and created LifeWear. I hope you will wear these lifesaving accessories with as much pride as do I.
